Amy Acker Biography: Presently an actress Amy Acker started her career from modeling. Born on December 5, 1976, in Dallas, Texas, Amy studied dancing since her childhood. She took ballet classes, jazz dance and contemporary dance lessons. Probably she could reach success in dancing, but unfortunately Amy had a surgery on her knee and could not continue her dancing career. Instead she turned to acting and decided to study it professionally, so she entered Southern Methodist University to study Fine Art there. In 1999 alongside her successful graduation Amy got a nomination for Leon Rabin Award for her part in a play Therese Raquin. For some time Acker worked as a stage actress. In 2001 she appeared in a series Angels and acted in more than seventy episodes there. As the prize for her efforts two years later Amy got Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television. The same year Amy married James Carpinello, an actor and a couple has two children: a son Jackson James and a daughter Ava Grace. Acker's recent roles were in the movies "A Near Death Experience" and "21 and a Wake-Up" and in the series Dollhouse and Happy Town.
