Audrey Tautou Biography: It seems no one could portray Ameli better than Audrey Tautou, a world-known French actress. She is one of few who remains devoted to her country and native community and is not going to change it for Hollywood. Audrey Tautou was born on August 9, 1978, in Beaumont, Puy-de-Dome, France and was interested in comedy as a child. Her parents enrolled her at theatrical institution Cours Florent. At the age of twenty Audrey won the title of Best Young Actress while participating at the 9th Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was spotted by Tonie Marshall, who cast the contest winner for the role in a movie Venus Beauty Institute (1999).
