Mostly known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this young actress though started her acting career from commercials. Born on October 11, 1985, Michelle Christine Trachtenberg is of German and Russian origin, but was brought up in Jewish traditions. When she was three, she started to appear in commercials and managed to act in more than 100 of them to date. From 1994 to 1996 Trachtenberg was cast for TV show "The Adventures of Pete & Pete". Her next role was in a soap opera All my Children, it was there that she met Sarah Michelle Gellar, her future co-stare for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her first more mature parts Trachtenberg got in films Harriet the Spy (1996) and in Inspector Gadget (1999) but her popularity raised at once after release of Buffy series. Except acting, Trachtenberg has a lot of hobbies and all her free time (not much actually) she spends for reading, swimming, playing tennis, ice skating and even writing poems. She also was involved in a Drug Free America campaign.
