Neve Campbell Biography: Neve Campbell, a known American actress preferably starring in thriller and horror films, was born on October 3, 1973 in Guelph, Ontario. Initially, she was longing to become a ballerina, but she had to dismiss this idea as she had too many injuries to continue her ballet. So, she turned to her second interest - acting. By the way, her father was (and still is) a drama teacher at high school. This was he who cultivated Campbell's love for acting. First Neve appearance on Canadian screen was in 1992 in a show Kids in the Hall. Campbell's American screen debut was two years later in a series Party of Five. In 1996, still working in the project, she managed to act in a film The Craft (defined as drama, fantasy, horror, thriller). Neve Campbell became a film star then. She was offered the role in Scream, as well a horror-thriller movie. The film won extremely high recognition from the public and got MTV Award as the best movie. Campbell, on her part, was nominated for MTV Movie award. Its sequel Scream 2 brought its leading lady a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Actress in a Horror and welcome MTV Award for Best Female Performance. In 1998 Campbell starred in a crime movie Wild Things. Though, there were a lot of violence and sex scenes, Campbell upheld her ground rule not to act nude. Nevertheless, she won an MTV Award for the Best Kiss, it wasn't likely to be an innocent one though. However, in 2004 an actress broke all her strict rules and starred naked in a movie When Will I Be Loved, having shower. In 2007 she replayed nude in I Really Hate My Job, just standing naked in the center of a restaurant. |
