Biography:
With her dark brown eyes, long thick hair and a radiant smile she looks stunning and unforgettable. Selena Gomez, an American actress, was born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas. In her mid teens she has an abundant list of awards each mature professional actress would envy. Selena started acting very early, at the age of seven. With her mother a stage actress, she knew all the refinements of acting technique since her early childhood. Gomez' mother Mandy Teefy claimed Selena memorized lines even better than she did. When Selena became seven she was ready to act! First, she auditioned for a show Barney & Friends and landed a role of Gianna. This event pushed her on a big scene and the following year Gomez starred in a movie Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. Later she acted in a direct-to-DVD movie Another Cinderella Story, and the most recent movies with Gomes as a leading lady are Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie and Princess Protection Program. In 2008 Gomes tried her fate in singing and recorded three songs for the movie she starred in Another Cinderella Story. After she had recorded a number of soundtracks and covers Gomez organized her own band Selena Gomez & The Scene and released a debut album Kiss and Tell (September 2009), which ranked #9 on the Billboard 200. Outside of singing and acting Gomez leads a very involving philanthropic life. Among the list of her great services she is the youngest ever UNICEF ambassador who encourages teenager to raise money to help children in need all over the world.
