Sharon Stone Biography: Sharon Stone gained fame and acknowledgement after her talked about role in a movie Basic Instinct. Actually not a role but abundant naked scenes were discussed, one where she uncrossed her legs and appeared to be without an underwear in front of police officers; another one when she had hard sex with a hand-tied guy. Born on March 10, 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Sharon Stone knew how to demonstrate her body to make men lust her. At nineteen she won the crown of Miss Crawford County in her native town and one of the judges offered her to try modeling. To try it Stone left her study and moved to New Jersey where she signed a contract with Ford Modeling Agency just in four days! Stone became a successful model both in the States and Europe. Later she decided to try acting and auditioned for Stardust Memories in 1980. Her breakout role of Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct was preceded by memorable roles in Irreconcilable Differences, Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold, Above the Law, Total Recall and others. Before the release of Basic Instinct Stone posed nude for Playboy and got in the list of 25 most sexiest Playboy models. People magazine gave Stone a title of one of the most beautiful women in the world. Outside her acting Stone is also known for her controversial statement about Chinese earthquake in 2008. She called it to be a Karma for Chinese bad treatment towards Tibetans. As a result she became persona non-Grata in China. Like a protest to her statement the movies and ads with Shone's acting were forbidden to be shown in China. |
