Sophie Monk Biography: British born singer Sophie Monk became known due to her work in Bardot band. She is also a famous model and actress currently. Sophie Monk was born on December 14, 1979 in England but her family moved to Australia when she was a child. When Sophie was twenty she saw an advertisement about the audition for girls with dancing and singing abilities. Possessing both of them she took the audition performing "Happy Birthday, Mr President" copying Marilyn Monroe and impressed the judges. She was then chosen for a new band Bardot together with four more girls. A debut single and a whole album reached #1 place in music charts and encouraged the girls to have an impressive tour. The second album gained the same popularity and motivated a band for their next tour that appeared to be the last one, as the girls decided to split. Nevertheless, Sophie Monk had an intension to continue singing and tried solo working with famous producer Rob Davis. In addition to singing Monk was offered to advertise Expozay Swimwear. In 2004 Sophie had her debut role in a movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood playing Monroe.
