Born on July 23, 1968 in San Diego, California, Seymour started modeling for local department stores at the age of 14. It's hard to believe now; that a current celebrity could lose a modeling contest, though in 1983 it happened at the Elite Model Management Look of the Year. Nevertheless, she was spotted at the event and in a while appeared on the Vogue cover and in Sport Illustrated swimsuit issues. Victoria's Secret Company hired her as a hosiery and lingerie model. In 1991 and 1994 she was posing for Playboy issues. A model decided to write an autobiographical work "Stephanie Seymour's Beauty Secrets for Dummies" in 1998. In 2000 Seymour was offered to take an audition for a film role in Pollock, as a result it was her debut movie where she played Helen Frankenthaler. Two years later Stephanie got an episode role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. If to speak about personal life, Seymour had some relations with John Casablancas, Tommy Andrews whom she married, Axl Rose and Peter Brant, who had been her husband for 14 years.
