Vanessa Paradis Biography: Vanessa Paradis, a French singer, model and actress, got a worldwide popularity and acknowledgement after her hit single Joe le taxi, with such a catchy tune that no one could remain indifferent. Vanessa Paradis was born on December 22, 1972, in Val-de-Marne, France. As far back as she could remember she had been always singing in any occasion. She was first heard on TV show L'Ecole Des Fans when she was twelve. Vanessa's debut single "La Magie des Surprises-Parties" was not a hit though but two years later she performed a breakthrough song Joe le taxi. Since Paradis' debut album did not have such a success as the single taken from it, Vanessa decided to try her fortune in acting. In 1989 Paradis landed a role in Noce Blanche, a film that became a hit in France and brought Vanessa a Cesar award for Most Promising Actress. Not satisfied to have only French audience an actress moved to the USA. There she succeeded to release her third totally English album, to make a career of a model and to find a husband, an actor Johnny Depp. A couple has two children and is planning to move to England to lead a quieter life.
